One Night Band – Hit and Run (For fans of The Slackers, Hepcat, Selecter)

Easy skanking! Playing ska in the veins of The Slackers and Hepcat, One Night Band’s new album “Hit and Run” is set to be released on October 7th in Canada and November 4th here in the states. I got a chance to check out Hit and Run, and let me say, it makes a fine addition to the (modern) 2tone / roots reggae genres.

Hit and Run stays consistent throughout, with the rhythm not letting up for a second. One Night Band infuses classic rock and roll into some of the songs (most notably in “Wait a Minute”), yet it doesn’t take away from the ska beats. Perfect music to bust some chills to.
